Tonight, may not be the most exciting match up, but it is a very important game for one team. The Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have an in-conference match up versus the Titans in Tennessee. were predicted to have a better season this year, better yet their quarterback, Blake Bortles, was expected to have a breakout year. Sadly, for Bortles and the Jaguars it’s been quite the opposite. Bortles has thrown 9 interceptions and only 9 touchdowns.
The Titans have had an inconsistent stride, keeping themselves close in games thanks to their number 10 ranked defense. Marcus Mariota has also shown some progress since last season, smarter scrambling and a little better vision on the field. It doesn’t hurt to have a running back with the 3rd most yardage in the league as well, Demarco Murry has made such a comeback this season. For the Titans, its picking up in the passing game a little more.
What to expect tonight? As much as the Jaguars need this win, the game is looking in favor of the Titans. The Titans defense should be strong enough to contain Jacksonville’s most reliable offensive players, T.J Yeldon and Chris Ivory. Jalan Ramsey is a solid disruption on the secondary for the Jaguars, but he may not be able to cover Demarco Murray and tight end, Delanie Walker. But if linebacker, Posluszny keeps up some of his strong plays, Jacksonville can potentially hold the Titans from scoring too much. Overall predictions tonight, 24-20, Titans.
